What is peace for me?
I dream of a peaceful world. One in which meat eaters do not harass vegetarians, or vegetarians do not harass meat eaters, or raw vegans do not harass pudding vegans and so on. Where nobody is “morally judged” upon the microamounts of whey, bone char or egg white inside the food. Where one can keep one’s common sense and actually taste-test new foods to recreate them in a vegetarian or vegan version, the same as a wine tester taste-tests many many wines and immediately spits them out. Where one does not turn into a “despicable monster” upon eating vegetarian at McDonald’s or similar.
Where there actually is a good, full and peaceful and happy life in the middle between all the “required” extremisms.
Where one does not have to explain a gazillion times that one does not have to hate or shun meat eaters to be a “real” vegetarian. That there is a huge difference between a “flexitarian”, who is just a meat eater liking plenty of vegetarian foods - and an open minded vegetarian or hippie veg head, who is a normal and average vegetarian or vegan, who simply refuses to freak out upon accidental microamounts of animal products or to stop even taste-testing a food item if necessary or similar (and the lack of taste-testing is one of the sad reasons for still such big amounts of poorly made/recreated veg*an foods sold in stores). That posting photos of veggie burgers with bacon in a clearly non-vegetarian page is not the same as eating them or liking them (but it does mean knowing nice people who like such foods). That cooking for a meat eating partner requires working with certain amounts of animal products and knowledge of a certain amount of non-vegetarian techniques and recipes.
And so on and so on and so on…. ☯☮♥ Peace ♥☮☯
